Butt Gun [Warforged] Prerequisites: Warforged, living construct, or something equivalent.Benefit: You have a gun in your butt. To be precise, the construction of your undercarriage has a built-in slot for the holding and discharging of a manufactured ranged weapon of your choice. The ranged weapon may be a projectile weapon or a laser, or you may even be able to shoot butt shurikens. A projectile weapon must have a trigger-operated mechanism for it to be usable as a butt weapon; a butt-crossbow is possible, but a butt-bow is not. The type of weapon that your butt contains must be specified when the feat is taken.
The butt weapon may be projectile or thrown, one- or two-handed, and doesn't require the help of hands to fire. The butt gun may be pre-loaded with up to 10 single projectiles, 20 throwables, 5 full ammunition magazines, or two fusion cells or other type of technological fuel, depending on what kind of ammunition the weapon fires. Provided similar magazines are prepared in advance, reloading the 'butt magazine' is a full-round action that can be reduced by the appropriate feats.
At the very least, the butt gun simply makes it possible to wield an extra weapon while keeping your hands free for other actions, but the butt gun has additional benefits:
- A maximum of once per round, you may make an attack of opportunity with the butt gun when a creature that is actively flanking you makes an attack against you. This counts even if you are otherwise immune to being flanked.
- You may include attacks with the butt gun during a full attack action. However, you cannot use the butt gun to also attack the same creature that you are attacking with the weapon(s) in your hands. It is possible to make a full attack with the butt gun exclusively.
- When the butt gun is activated, its barrel or operative end usually comes jutting out of your butt. This tends to cause people surprise. Any sentient creatures witnessing the butt gun being 'drawn' must make a Will save (Charisma-based) or lose their Dexterity bonus to AC until the start of their next turn. This surprise effect only occurs when you are observed drawing your butt gun for the first time.
- In case of the butt gun shooting thrown weapons, you may enchant your butt as if it were an enchanted pouch.
Normal: Normally people don't have guns in their butt.
