1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

This weapon, also called bastard cinquedea or simply the "bastard", is a hand-and-a-half version of the cinquedea with the size of a bastard sword. The base of its blade is as broad as a hand, tapering quickly up to a narrow point.

A bastard binquedea is too large to use in one hand without special training; thus, it is an exotic weapon. A character without the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat can use a bastard cinquedea two-handed as a martial weapon, otherwise gets a -4 penalty when wielding a bastard cinquedea in one hand.

For those with the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat, a bastard cinquedea can be wielded in one hand with a -2 penalty to attack rolls, because of the weapon's blade thickness.
