Colossus Armor[edit]

Colossus Armor
Price: 1,377,500
Body Slot: Body
Caster Level: 21th
Aura: Strong Transmutation
Activation: Continuous
Weight: 50

The armor looks more like a carved statue of stone and metal, the surface aged and weathered and the joints overgrown with moss and shaggy grasses. As you put it on, the world shrinks around you as you grow to titanic propertions and massive strength!

Colossus armor contains the spirit of the titans, embuing you with supernatural size and power. It is a Full Plate +6 which grants DR 15/-, grants a +16 size bonus to strength, +8 size bonus to constitution, and a -4 size penalty to dexterity (to a minimum of 1). You grow two sizes larger, as does any weapons you wield, and your unarmed attacks deal damage equal to a club sized for you (1d8 for Large characters or 2d6 for Huge characters) and you are consisted armed while making unarmed attacks. You are immune to blindness, critical hits, ability score damage, deafness, disease, drowning, electricity, poison, stunning, and all spells and effects which affect you physiology or respiration, for you have no physiology or respiration while wearing this armor.

The armor is unusually bulky and your speed is reduced by half rather than the normal 2/3 speed for heavy armor. You have a 50% arcane failure chance and -8 armor check penalty with this armor. You cannot drink (and thus can't use potions) or play wind instruments. Your weight increases by a factor of 16, causing you to sink in water like a stone. You automatically fail all Swim checks, but you could survive the crushing pressure and lack of air at the bottom of the ocean.

The armor retains a strong bond to your life force while you wear it, and when you die it releases your life energy in an explosive blaze of shadowy tendrils rippling across the sky. If you perish while wearing the armor your attacker (and only your attacker) takes 10 points of divine damage per HD you possess, with a Fortitude save for half damage, DC 10 + 1/2 HD + Con. Your soul is damaged in the process and requires the casting of limited wish or greater to repair your soul before you can be successfully revived from the dead.

You can choose to shrink to your normal size as a standard action. Reverting to your enlarged size is also a standard action. As is normal for size changes, size changes do not stack with other spells and effects. Putting on armor of the colossus takes twice as long as normal full plate.

Enhancements which grant energy resistance or immunities which are added to the armor recieve a 10% discount.

Prerequisites: Craft Epic Magic Arms and Armor, death throesSpC, iron body, wish.
Cost to Create: 688,750, 55,100 EXP (including the cost for wish), 1377 days.
