Defective Eyesight
You have incredibly weak eyesight, to the point of being legally blind, but you can still make shapes and forms in the distance and maybe the faces of your friends and family. You have trained your other senses to supplement your lacking eyesight.
Prerequisite: Must have eyesight.
Effect: You take a –4 penalty on Spot checks, Search checks. All checks and activities that rely on vision (such as Spot checks) automatically fail if made beyond 30 feet. Additionally your speed is reduced by 5 ft.
Finally you are unable to read normal text, but can normally read any texts with sufficient relief (such as a tablet of clay, or braille) as long as you have a hand free. At the GM's discretion, some special or very large texts might be within your ability to read.
Benefit: A High bonus feat or lower for which you meet the prerequisites.
Special: If you are completely blinded you can move at your normal speed and you are not flat-footed against attacks. If you have the Blind-Fight feat, your speed is not reduced by this flaw.
