Dragon Hybrid[edit]
A remake of the half-dragon template.
Creating a Dragon Hybrid[edit]
Dragon Hybrid is an inherited template that can be added to any corporeal creature. Upon taking this template choose a dragon, it will determine few of the template's features.
Size and Type: A dragon hybrid's type change to dragon and grow one size category (to a maximum of large) with all bonus and penalties associated with the change of size.
Hit Dice: A dragon hybrid's racial and class hit dice increase by one size, to a maximum of d12.
Speed and Movement: A dragon hybrid grow wings and thus gain a fly speed equal to twice her base land speed (average).
Armor Class: A dragon hybrid's natural armor increase by +4.
Attack: A dragon hybrid gain two claw attacks and one bite attack dealing damage appropriate for their size.
Special Attack: A dragon hybrid gain the following special attacks:
Breath Weapon: Each 1d4 round a dragon hybrid can fire her breath weapon either as 60-ft line or a 30 ft. cone-shaped spread (chosen when used) dealing 1d8 damages per character level. A successful reflex save halves (DC is constitution-based). The damage dealt by the breath weapon is the same as the chosen dragon.
If the dragon hybrid has chosen a primeval dragon it breath weapon may also be used as a sweep or a ball.
Frightful Presence: A dragon hybrid has a frightful presence extending to 30 feet, the DC is charisma-based and any creature who fail their save are shaken for 5d6 rounds.
If the dragon hybrid has chosen a primeval dragon it frightful presence extend to 60 ft instead.
Special Qualities: A dragon hybrid gain the following special qualities:
Immunities: Dragon hybrids are immune to fear-effect, sleep-effect and paralysis. Additionally they are immune to any one energy type their chosen dragon is.
Ability Scores: Str +2, Con +2, Int +4, Cha +4. A dragon hybrid may also receive ability score adjustment from increasing in size. If they are too large to increase in size they receive an additional Str +4, Con +2.
If the dragon hybrid has chosen a primeval dragon it gain an additional +2 bonus to Str and Con.
Challenge Rating: +3 or +4 if Primeval
Level Adjustment: +3 or +4 if Primeval
