Exalted Saint[edit]

I am just trying to do as much as good as possible before I head into the shroud.

Becoming a Exalted Saint[edit]

An exalted saint is a divine caster who has thoroughly dedicated herself to the cause of good, and gained powerful exalted abilities as a result. On the other hand, an exalted saint is supposed to act better than most other divine casters (in a moral sense, of course), so there's that.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the exalted saint.

Cleric Ability: If an exalted saint had levels in cleric, she may add her levels in exalted saint to her cleric level to determine the strength of any of her cleric class features and number of times per day she may use turn undead and any domain abilities.

Paladin Abilities: If an exalted saint had levels in paladin, she may add her levels in exalted saint to her paladin level to determine the strength of any of her paladin class features and the number of times per day/encounter she may use those class features. However, she does not receive any new class features.

Spellcasting: At each level except 10th, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one divine spellcasting class before becoming a exalted saint, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Code of Conduct: An exalted saint is expected to behave like a decent person, but some can be kind of dicks. An exalted saint must never consort with the power of evil; she must also respect the tenets of her deity/philosophy and aid the forces of good whenever possible and convenient. If she grossly violates her code of conduct (such as killing an innocent, making a deal with a devil, etc.), she loses all her exalted saint abilities. No one is flawless, if an exalted saint violates her code of conduct, she must atone as a cleric to regain her class abilities.

Bonus Domain: At 1st, 5th, and 10th level, the exalted saint receives a bonus domain of her choice amongst the domains granted by her deity/philosophy. If she didn't have any domains beforehand, she receives the ability as a cleric (gaining domain slots as well).

Even in Death: Even after an exalted saint expires, her body is still blessed by the power of good. Her body radiates good and any aura she had in life (such as a paladin's aura of courage). If she had the aura of life, her body becomes the center of a constant hallow effect. Her body is always preserved as per gentle repose, and the effect continues as long as the body is whole (if the body is burned, having all the ashes gathered counts as having the whole body).

Any good or neutral creature praying within 10 feet of the body of an exalted saint is placed under the effect of bless for 1 day per class level the exalted saint had. At 5th level, the praying creature is also cured of all afflictions as per restoration; at 10th level, this is upgraded to complete restoration.

Exalted Aura of Good (Su): A 1st level exalted saint's aura of good can be seen with the naked eye. Any creature concentrating on the exalted saint for 3 or more rounds (simply by observing her) is able to discern her aura as per detect good. The exalted saint may suppress or resume this ability at will as a free action.

Saintly Ability: At each odd level, an exalted saint receives a an ability selected from the list below:

Aura of Courage (Su): Upon taking this ability, the exalted saint gains an aura of courage as a paladin. If she already had an aura of courage, its radiuss double and all allies within it gain immunity to [fear].

Down to Earth (Su): Upon taking this ability, you gain the ability to use commune with nature and speak with animals as supernatural abilities at will.

Fascinating Voice: (Su): You can fascinate as a bard of your level, and you may use your character level +3 as your ranks in Perform.

Good Blessings Upon Thee (Su): Upon selecting this ability, an exalted saint gains the ability to use bless, bless water, and bless weapon as supernatural abilities at will. The duration of these abilities is instantaneous, allowing the exalted saint to effectively grant permanent blessings.

Selfless Benefactor (Su): Any harmless or purely beneficial spells you cast are automatically extended on other friendly creatures.

Spread Life (Su): Upon selecting this ability, an exalted saint with a Charisma score of 12 or higher gains the ability to cure wounds by touch, healing herself in the process as well. Each day, she can cure a total number of hit points of damage equal to her 3× her exalted saint level × her charisma bonus. A exalted saint may choose to divide her spread life ability among multiple recipients, and she doesn’t have to use it all at once. Spread life is a standard action and restores the health of creatures no matter their type (even undead or constructs).

Tireless (Ex): Upon selecting this ability you become immune to fatigue. If you are afflicted with an affect which would cause you to become exhausted, you are instead fatigued.

Supreme Safeguard (Su): Upon taking this ability, whenever the exalted saint or one her allies within line of sight is struck with a blow which would drop her below 1 hp, she can negate any further damage and leave the creature in question at 1 hp as a free action usable outside of her turn by expending a divine spell of 3rd level or higher. This ability may be used a number of times per day equal to the number of saintly abilities she possesses.

Bonus Exalted Feat: At 2nd, 4th, 8th, and 10th level, the exalted saint gains a bonus Exalted feat she meets the prerequisite for.

Living Saint: A 6th-level exalted saint is mostly recognized as a living paragon of good; any creature with a good alignment is one step friendlier towards her than normal (to a maximum of Friendly). This is only an 'initial attitude' – if you take any actions that harm or offend them, their attitude will adjust appropriately

Additionally, the exalted saint gains damage reduction/magic and evil equal to her class level.

Absolute Salvation: A 10th-level exalted saint now possesses awesome powers. She becomes an outsider with the augmented subtype and becomes immune to energy drain, ability damage, ability drain, poison, disease, and soul-trapping and possession effects. She stops physically aging, does not accrue penalties from aging, and is effectively immortal; she may still decide to die when her time comes. If she is ever slain, she rises as a deathless geist and can be resurrected or raised without any level loss, and always succeeds on her rejuvenation roll. However, while in her ghostly form, she is unable to move more than 30 feet away from her body and is unable to resurrect herself. If her body is desecrated, then destroyed, and then dispersed (if destroyed in a manner that leaves behind some sort of trace that could be used in resurrection, such as being disintegrated), she dies as a creature of her former type as normal.
