Exotic Light Projectile
1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
The heat pistol is a bit of strange future-tech which appears much like a normal pistol, but no ammo stock and covered with fancy glowing lines (because neon means its from the future). It fires a thin red beam which burns things with heat. Attacks with the heat pistol are ranged touch attacks. It has effectively unlimited ammo, with a catch that it therefore can never be loaded with any kind of special ammo of its own. Attacks from the heat pistol are extraordinary and do not go away in an antimagic field.
The heat pistol can be used as a martial weapon. When used as such, it has a 1 round cooldown after a single shot, allowing it to be used once every other round. Those with the appropriate Exotic Weapon Proficiency can discharge the gun's heat quicker and do not suffer any cooldown at all.
Supposedly other colors and energy types of this pistol exist (acid pistols, cold pistols, electric pistols, and even supposed sonic and force pistols with damage reduced by one size). They are more difficult to locate than the most common heat pistol type.
