Holographer[edit]

It was an hologram.
—Mile Tale, Kitsune, The Battle of the Ages

The holographer understand both the theory and craft behind light magic and illusion. They use their knowledge of both to effectively combine them, making extremely realistic holograms that can even fool the most advanced of detection spell. As their mastery of hologram grow so do their option, including make quais-real illusions, blasting opponents with holographic lasers and even making holographic clones of themselves.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Holographer.

Holo-Tool: When you enter this prestige you perform a magic ritual with one of your magic item and turn it into your holo-tool. An holo-tool is typically a rod or a gauntlet but can be anything. In order to use most of the holographer's class features you are required to wear or wield your holo-tool. You holo-tool possess a number of charges equal to your class level x2. These charges can be refreshed as a standard action, restoring two charges to the holo-tool. All effects created by the holo-tool are [light]-effect and do not allow spell resistance.

If your holo-tool is destroyed you may perform a 8 hour ritual and expend 500 gp per class level to make another magic item your holo-tool.

Light Mage: The holographer count as knowing all spells with the [light] descriptor and all illusion for the purpose of crafting magic items and prerequisites. As long as she has at least 1 holo-charges she count as having a [light] and illusion [figment] spell of half her character level (maximum 9th) for the purpose of determining the effect of [Reserve] feats and prerequisites.

Project Image (Sp): A holographer has the ability to project holograms, as a standard action a 1st level holographer can replicate the effect of silent image, this ability cost a single holo-tool charge. Since it is a mere trick of light, your hologram are not automatically pierced by true seeing or similar spell.

At 4th level you may instead project a major image at the cost of two additional holo-tool charge.

At 8th level you may instead project a persistent image at the cost of four additional holo-tool charge.

At 9th level you may instead project a permanent image at the cost of five additional holo-tool charge.

Holographic Beam (Su): An hologram is really made out of light, if concentrated it can be used with lethal result. At 2nd level she can use her holo-tool as a laser gun and she count as having exotic weapon proficiency in it. A single holo-tool charge count as 10 ammunition and it does not need to be reloaded. You may enhancement your holographic beam as it if it was a separate item from your holo-tool, even carrying over any new holo-tool you make.

At 5th level your holographic beam gain the ability to pass through solid object, ignoring cover (even total cover) and gain the ability to strike incorporeal and ethereal creatures as if it was ghost-touched.

Holographic Disguise (Sp): A 2nd level holographer can cleverly disguise herself by layering holograms over herself, effectively replicating the effect of disguise self for a single holo-tool charge. Since it is a mere trick of light, your disguise is not automatically pierced by true seeing or similar spell.

Mirror Image (Sp): A 2nd level holographer can spend two holo-tool charges to replicate the effect of mirror image, she may only have a single instance of this ability active at any time.

Holographic Shield (Su): A 3rd level holographer can add her intelligence bonus as a shield bonus to her to AC as an immediate action, this ability cost two holo-tool charges and last for 1 round.

At 6th level whenever she use her holographic shield she may spend two additional charges to replicate mirror image as well as the normla holographic shield effect.

Holographic Cage (Su): A 4th level holographer can make a complex cage out of light, replicating the effect of awesome light. This ability cost three holo-tool charges.

Holo-Clone (Sp): A 5th level holographer can spend three holo-tool charges to replicate the effect of mislead as an immediate action. Alternatively she may spend 3 holo-tool charges to replicate the effect of project image as a standard action.

Holo-Mine (Ps): A 6th level holographer can make a holographic laser mine, replicating the effect of energy bomb. It does not have an energy descriptor, deal light damage and is a [light] effect. This ability cost five holo-tool charges.

Holographic Summon (Sp): A 7th level holographer can summon holograms infused with shadow, making them partially real. She can replicate the effect of summon bot modified with the Phantasmal Summon metamagic feat. You may only summon bots from a list whose level is under half your character level (so a 14th level holographer could summon bots from the level 7 list). This ability cost a number of holo-tool charges equal to the level list the bot was summoned from. This is a [light] and [shadow] effect.

Holographic Doomsday (Sp): A 10th level holographer can at the cost of nine holo-tool charges, can replicate the effect of orbital laser.
