Illithid Heritage [Heritage, Psionic]
You are closely related to the illithids, whether through bloodline or through dark experimentation.Prerequisites: Must be able to manifest 1st level PowersBenefit: The bonus granted by this feat is based on hit dice.
- 1 HD: You add psionic charm to your power known and the manifester level and DC of your power with the compulsion descriptor increase by one.
- 5 HDs: You gain four tentacles which function as single "two-handed" tentacles feral strike, dealing 1d8 bludgeoning damage with 20/x3 critical with Improved Grab. You may devour the brain of a Helpless creature as a full-round action, instantly killing the creature. If you devour the brain of an intelligent creature, it provide nourishment for an entire day and restore 1 hit point per HD of the devoured creature. You may hide or expose your tentacles as a move action. Whenever you devour a brain you gain any memories the creature formed within the last hour with perfect clarity.
- 10 HDs: You add mind control to your power known, and you gain the ability to use psionic blast as a psi-like ability 3/day. After you devour a brain, you gain all of the memories of the devoured creature, although anything formed farther than 24 hours is very unclear and vague.
- 15 HDs: If you successfully pin a creature for 3 consecutive rounds with your tentacles, you may attempt to devour it brain on your third and further pin attempt. The creature must succeed a DC 20 Fortitude save or die as you devour it brain (gaining all benefits of doing so). You may also now use your psionic blast psi-like ability at will.
Special: If the feat grant you a power that you already know, you instead gain another power known with all normal limitation for your class.
