Your image takes on the form of what your opponents fear the most, though the sensation is entirely within their own heads. The visage is so disturbing they must make a Will save, or be rendered frightened for as long as they are within the aura of fear and 1d4 rounds after. A successful save renders them only shaken while in your aura, and for 1d4 rounds after. A creature is immune to further saves from this particular manifestation of this power, regardless of whether they saved or failed.

Outside of the 30-ft radius, the mental distortion renders your form indistinct and cloudy. It does not provide concealment, but is enough to prevent creatures susceptible to mind-affecting effects from identifying your true appearance or anything beyond basic body type. True seeing does not see past the effect, but immunity to mind-affecting effects works against it. There is no save on this effect.

As a standard action, you can dismiss this power early to force a creature within the area of effect to be subject to phantasmal killer. This ends the power.

A mindbreaker who manifests this power gains 1 pain point for each creature that fails its saving throw against the fear aura, plus 2 additional pain points for each creature that fails its Will save against the phantasmal killer effect, plus 1 additional pain point for each creature that also fails its Fortitude save. Each of these groups of pain points can be gained once per creature per 24 hours, regardless of how many times this power is manifested (thus, a mindbreaker can gain 4 pain points from a creature that fails all 3 saves).

Augment: If you spend 1 additional power point, the radius increases by 5 ft.

If you spend 2 additional power points, you increase the duration of the fear (or shaken) effect after leaving the area by 1 round.

If you spend 6 additional power points, creatures are paralyzed with fear for 1 round on a failed save. In addition, when you dismiss the power, all creatures in the area are subject to phantasmal killer.

Regardless of the augmentations used, for every 2 additional power points spent on augmentation, the DC increases by +1.
