Immunity Hardness[edit]

Immunity Hardness a special ability that provide a degree of resistance to immunity and resistance piercing effects. This ability is meant to represent a creature with a higher degree of resistance than normal to an effect.

A creature with Immunity Hardness is capable of resisting immunity and resistance bypassing effects. Whenever a creature attempt to bypass one of it immunity, it must make a caster level check (or other appropriate check, such as initiator for a maneuver or a character level check for a supernatural abiility) and beat the creature's Immunity Hardness. A creature's Immunity Hardness is described in the creature's monster entry, but it is typically 10 + the Creature's CR. If the check fail, the effect fail to penetrate the immunity or resistance but is otherwise unaffected.

Immunity Hardness usually applies to all of the creature's immunities and resistance by default, however some creature may only have immunity hardness for some if noted in their entry. Further specification may be made in the creature's entry.

Elemental Type Change[edit]

Being made of an elements make elementals's energy immunity more difficult to break. While still possible, such as harming a fire elemental by physically cutting it with a jet of flame. With this variant rule, the Elemental type grant immunity hardness (10 + CR) to any resistance and immunity to energy granted by one of it subtype.
