Logos Subtype[edit]

The upper planes are a paradise, and the lawful planes function like clockwork. But such order does not come without work, and there are things functioning and maintaining this lands with duty. Semi-mechanical much like Modrons, the Logos are lawful outsiders usually associated with the upper planes, specifically Arcadia. There they run and function many duties which they were created for. Though alive, they are much like machines and do not possess a free will of their own. Instead they fall in service to their own goal they were made for, and the will of their hivemind they possess.

Logos creatures often take on a mechanical and artificial appearance with a bent for the fantastical and illogical, such as wheels within wheels, having legs which are jets of fire, skin like steel, and gears which move in impossible ways.

Traits[edit]

A logos creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).

  • Demi-Construct Traits (Ex): Logos count as constructs as well as members of their actual type. They only take half damage (and half benefit) from positive and negative energy, and full benefit from the repair series of spells.
  • Hivemind (Ex): All logos are connected to a "cell", a hivemind which they share. They have telepathy out to 1 mile for members of their kind, and empathy out to an unlimited range, crossing even planar barriers. A logos can absorb and share the memories of any fallen or destroyed logos with a touch, allowing them to obtain information on what had occurred.
  • Immunities (Ex): Logos are immune to fear, disease, mind-affecting effects, and poison as well as any immunities of their type.

Logos Subtype Creatures[edit]

The following creatures have the Logos subtype:

Table: Logos Creatures
Name Description
Auxiliel Celestial logos whose purpose is search and rescue, and protecting people from the elements and natural disasters.
Cibatel Celestial logos whose purpose is to generate food for the people to eat. These gentle giants seem like beasts, and have all the ire of a wild animal when provoked.
Famael Weakest of the celestial logos, they are observers whose purpose is to look for problems and report them higher up the chain of command for other logos to address.
Forisel These alien looking celestials were created as transporters for celestial troops and general mobility. Composed of rings within rings, with 84 faces that peer in all directions, their biggest threat is the allies they bring.
Helmengel An angelic helmet who acts as a guardian angel to those they are assigned to.
Idrisellum Unlike most logos, these logos are made out of mortal men who have 'ascended', modified through celestial cybernetics and fleshcrafting, and transformed into a pure and incorruptible form of themselves. It then becomes a question if these things are still yet human.
Lucemel Celestial logos whose purpose is to provide power to the workings of the upper realms. En masse, they can power entire metropolises and cosmic battlestations.
Salusel Celestial logos whose purpose is to heal the wounded and repair the damaged.
Tutelel Celestial logos whose purpose is to terraform the land, construct entire cities, and alter the environment.
Vigilael Outsiders designed to watch and observe other beings, amongst mortals they have sometimes been confused for aliens when their origins are celestial in nature.
