Martial Scholar
Not content with simply learning spells, the martial scholar seeks the lore of martial maneuvers. This leads them to have somewhat stunted spellcasting and to not develop the anomalous blast ability, but the gains are well worth the price.
Class: Phenomenist
Level: 1st-20th
Replaces: Spellcasting (Altered), Akashic Lore (Altered), Anomalous Blast, Anomalous Stream
Benefit: A martial scholar add martial lore to her class skill list and gain the following benefits:
Diminished Spellcasting: The martial scholar is not as well-learned when it comes to spells. She has one less spell known as a normal phenomenist of her level.
Maneuvers (Ex): A martial scholar has the ability to initiate maneuvers. She gain maneuver known, maneuver readied and stance known as a Partisan. A martial scholar recovers all of her expended maneuvers as a move action that provokes an attack of opportunity, as she focuses her thoughts. The DC of the Martial Scholar's Maneuvers are always Intelligence-based. Any class features which applies to her spellcasting also applies to her maneuvers as if they were spells. She can pick her maneuver known from a single discipline based on her chosen reality sphere:
- Biology: Blood Feast
- Divinity: Dancing Goddess
- Ego: Mental Grip
- Entropy: Bone Crown
- Gravity: Unseen Shackles
- Heresy: Devoted SpiritToB
- Numerology: Infinite Lotus
- Souls: Anima River
- Spaces: Shadow HandToB
- Rifts: Crow's Flight
- Time: Diamond MindToB
- Undeath: Narrow Bridge
Martial Knowledge (Ex): A Martial Scholar's Akashic Lore class feature also applies to Martial Lore checks.
