Items of Note[edit]

  • Skirmisher Boots (Magic Item Compendium) allow you to add extra skirmish damage, as well as get an extra attack after skirmishing twice per day.
  • A Nightstick (Libris Mortis) or a Reliquary Holy Symbol (Magic Item Compendium) will give you extra turn attempts with which to fuel your domain devotions

Highlights[edit]

  • Level 6 DPR with two +1 short swords
    • Attack: 3 (BAB) + 3 (Law Devotion) + 2 (Flanking) - 2 (Two-Weapon Fighting) + 1 (Size) + 1 (Magic) + 1 (Knowledge Devotion) + 4 (Dexterity) = +13/+13
    • Damage: 1d4 (Base) + 4 (Shadow Blade) + 1 (Magic) + 6 (Craven) + 1d6 (Sneak Attack) + 2d6 (Skirmish) + 2d6 (Improved Skirmish) + 1 (Knowledge Devotion) = 1d4+5d6+12
      • DPR vs. AC 19 is 48
  • Assumed stats at level 20:
    • Dex: 16 (Base) + 2 (Racial) + 5 (Level) + 6 (Item) + 5 (Tome) = 34 (+12)
    • Attack Bonus: 14 (BAB) + 12 (Dex) + 5 (Magic) + 4 (Vexing Flanker) + 1 (Knowledge Devotion) + 7 (Law Devotion) - 2 (Two-Weapon Fighting) + 1 (Size) = +42/+42/+37/+37/+32/+32
    • Damage: 1d4 (Shortsword) + 5d6+5 (Magic) + 5d6 (Skirmish) + 2d6 (Improved Skirmish) + 8d6 (Sneak Attack) + 2d6 (Assassin's Stance) + 20 (Craven) + 1 (Knowledge Devotion) + 12 (Shadow Blade) = 1d4+22d6+38
      • Total damage per attack comes out to 117.5 (on average). Should all attacks hit, that's 705 damage, or 587.5 damage when weighted against an AC of 40.

Combat Sequence[edit]

  • Activate Travel Devotion on one round, Law Devotion on another
  • Keep moving and dealing damage with full attacks using Travel Devotion to move as a swift action

Further Optimization[edit]

  • Pick up a wand of Divine Favor and Divine Power to boost your attack and damage
  • Add the Sword of Subtlety's effects to your weapon to boost your attack and damage by four
  • The Dash feat can replace the level of cleric.
  • Check out the Basic Combat Rogue Guide for more suggestions on items and the like

Limitations[edit]

  • Creatures immune to sneak attack and skrimish will reduce overall damage considerably

DM Counters[edit]

  • Defenses apart from AC (illusions, concealment, etc)
  • Use AoOs to your advantage to grapple the character

Variants[edit]

  • Replace Opportunist with Extra Turning for more turn attempts, Crippling Strike for Strength damage, or Weapon Focus for a bonus to attack rolls.
