This large, sand-colored bird turns towards you, raising it's vestigial wings in fright as it dashes away from you at incredible speed.

One of many creatures native to the Imperial shard of Palantium, the noa has been bred as a source of eggs, meat and labor since tribal times. Similiar in manner to a horse, noas are often trained as mounts, especially for military uses. It is from the Imperial army and exploratory missions that this species has propagated to many other shards.

Noas stand about 8 feet tall and weigh around 250 pounds. While most noas are the same tawny color as the sands they inhabited, many breeders take pride in the brilliant plumage of their birds, which often most often include topaz and dark, blood red.

Carrying Capacity: A light load for a Palantium noa is up to 150 pounds; a medium load, 151–300 pounds; and a heavy load, 301–450 pounds. A Palantium noa can drag 2,250 pounds. All species of noa are treated as quadrupeds for determining their carrying capacity.

Combat[edit]

Palantium noas are generally not aggressive unless cornered, sprinting away from sources of danger.
