Ornate Pauldron[edit]

Ornate Pauldrons can be added to any armor which contains shoulderpads of any sort, though they provide no amount of protection. Indeed they generally serve only to make things bulkier. Ornate pauldrons are fancy, often appearing as carved pillar capitals with fanciful gargoyles, eagles, dragons, or other motifs carved within it. It is plated with expensive materials such as gold or jewelry (and often, so is the rest of the armor) and designed for the purpose of both showing off the wealth of the owner, and their alligence through the motifs they possess. Ornate pauldrons may only be equipped on masterwork armors, consisting of both shoulders for the price of 300g.
