Pixieglass[edit]

Made out of melted pixie dust, pixieglass is super resistant against the forces of magic while being lightweight. Also, it's very pretty. As one may imagine getting this much pixie dust in one area is a chore but the result is a transparent glass with a pale rose tint and the presence of a slight golden glitter from impurities within the glass. They are usually used to contain powerful magical explosions while maintaining a visual of what is going on. They are also physically tough to everything except cold iron.

When used to create weapons, it is only really effective on piercing and slashing weapons. They deal minimum damage against Fey and Plant creatures, but always roll maximum base weapon damage against Aberrations and Constructs. In addition they constantly give off an illusory glamour which dazzles all opponents within your reach automatically, as long as they have sight. They count as chaotic weapons for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction, and are always considered a finesse weapon regardless of size. If you place this on a weapon which already is finessable, the weapon now may use your Dexterity in place of Strength for both attack and damage.

Pixieglass armor provides potent protection against most physical attacks. Light armor gains DR 1/bludgeoning or cold iron, medium armor gains DR 3/bludgeoning or cold iron, and heavy armor gains DR 5/bludgeoning or cold iron. The armor counts as one category lighter for the purpose of movement penalties, feats, and class features.

Pixieglass shields grant bonuses against incoming spells. The user gains the 1 + the shield's enhancement bonus if any as a luck bonus on saves against spells and spell-like abilities, to a maximum of +4 luck bonus at +3 enhancement.

The glass is sometimes used to make special extraordinary rose tinted glasses. This is a face slot item which can be enhanced to become a magical item in its own right. Beyond giving a slight tint to the view the glasses give a +2 bonus on saves against gaze attacks, obtaining dark insight from visual mediums, or against any other sort of "infohazards" such as reading a symbol spell.

Lastly, it turns out to make a fair construction material. As a wall, it always applies hardness to any spell, all spell damage is minimized, and it always makes its save against disintegrate and similar effects.

Pixieglass is so costly that weapons and armor made from it are always of masterwork quality; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below. Thus, pixieglass weapons and ammunition have a +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls, and armor and shields have their armor check penalty decreased by 1.

Pixieglass has 6 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 3. It takes minimum damage from all magic effects and its hardness rises to 10 against magic. It takes a quarter damage from slashing and acid, half damage from piercing and most energy damage types, and full damage from bludgeoning and sonic damage. Cold iron damage pierces its hardness and does full damage.

Medium Armor +4000 gp
Heavy Armor +8500 gp
