Reassembled Using Spare Parts[edit]

At some point, you had to be put together using whatever was on hand. Sorry about that.

Reassembled creatures are just a bit more clumsy and awkward. Flavor-wise, this could be a construct hastily repaired after battle, a skeleton put back together using the wrong bones or a war general put back together with parts from his guards after an awful explosion. Such creatures often look cobbled together but sometimes the repairs are mostly internal.

Reassembly Requirements[edit]

This is an acquired template and may be applied to any corporeal creature capable of being brought back from the dead or reconstructed.

Features[edit]

  • A reassembled creature takes a –2 racial penalty to Dexterity in all forms. If the form has a non-ability for Dexterity, the penalty instead applies to Constitution (or Charisma barring that).
  • Opponents take a –4 penalty on feint attempts against you because of your odd movements.
  • Cheap Parts: Reassembled creatures may be brought back from the dead (with methods that restore their body) for 50% of the total material cost value in gp (such as in diamonds for resurrection). You also pay only 90% of the total value in material costs for acquiring grafts because it is now easier to connect things to you. Note: Players, be sure to track the gp value of your last revival along with all total graft savings. You'll need this value for removing this template.
  • Borrowed Traits: Because some things that weren't "you" got added in, you can use things as if you were something else. You count as either: a single alignment (lawful, chaotic, neutral, good or evil), a subtype or a type for the purposes of using certain equipment. The chosen borrowed trait must be from parts that would have been available when this template was applied. Examples: A character with the borrowed trait of evil may use unholy equipment as though he wasn't goodly. A character with the borrowed trait of dwarven subtype may use the dwarven thrower as if he were a dwarf.
  • Challenge Rating: 0
  • Level Adjustment: +0

Removing This Template[edit]

After acquiring it, this template can be removed by either:

  • Being brought back from death and paying the full value in material costs and savings from any acquired grafts.
  • Paying the other 50% in material cost (and any savings from acquired grafts) as part of a 4th level or higher spell/ritual that would restore lost hp and ability damage (such as restoration).
