Greater runewall functions similarly to runewall, except that the minimum casting time is only one standard action. Additionally, it no longer fizzles if the wall passes through an occupied square at the time of casting. Instead, any creature that occupies such a square is immediately subject to the effect of the attached spell, unless they succeed at a reflex save, which also allows them to move to the nearest unoccupied square if successful. This reflex save is in addition to any saving throw that the attached spell might have.
As with runewall, the maximum level of the attached spell defaults to 4, but can be increased if greater runewall is cast in a spell slot of level larger than 6.
