SRD talk:Darkvision

I think this is too close to night vision. In my write up, darkvision grants a special ability to see other dimensions of light, like auras. Dragonborns have this ability naturally. Elves can develop it easily once someone tells them about it.

"Some living things emit a special auric light, like flowers in bloom (attracting butterflies to sip this energy), children expressing emotions, and people holding a lot of power (sometimes it "leaks" out, like when agitated or damaged) or provides a subtle shine that can be detected, allowing those with darkvision to be attracted to or curious about them.

Interestingly, the sky's color is an expression of this ability and at sunrise the sky can show many different colors of it`s aura, expressing the mood of the gods. It appears that this is something anyone can see, because the gods see it through the eyes that they made." Cedric (talk) 13:14, 7 November 2018 (MST)

Cedric... you do realize that this is a wiki for Dungeons and Dragons, right? This page is not up for debate. It's based on what the rules, as laid out in the rulebooks of D&D, define darkvision to be. If you want to make your own variant of darkvision, feel free to do so as long as it fits into how the rules of the edition that you're making the variant for work, but this page explains how it works in D&D 3.5. --Ghostwheel (talk) 23:47, 8 November 2018 (MST)
