"It's eating her... and now it's going to eat us! Oh my Gods!"

An extremely large amphibious giant, the shark ogre is a monster in it own might. It stands a bit shorter than most huge giants because of it sloughed stance, at 17 feet tall and weighting around 10 tons. The shark ogre is effectively a blue or grey-skinned giant with the head of a shark and otherwise mostly humanoid body type. Its teeth are extremely sharp and it is noted for being intensely aggressive, much more than the normal ogre.

The shark ogre prey almost exclusively on humanoid and smaller giants, although large beasts may do to complement its diet. Despite being sharky, it prefers to stay on land and is an awkward swimmer, its preferred place to live is inside dry seaside caves. They gladly drive entire coastal villages to extinction by relentlessly hunting, its appetite - like most ogres - cannot be satiated. Some communities offer tributes weekly in the form of cattle and villagers to stave off the shark ogre's hunt. However even villages who perform such rites will not be spared in the end, especially not if they miss a tribute.

Combat[edit]

A Shark Ogre will charge its nearest foe with its bite, attempting to grab it and then immediately pin it. It will fight to the death even when unnecessary and - unless gravely wounded - it will make sure to finish off downed opponents. It prefers fighting with its greatsword and using its swift bite, cleaves eagerly and leave no survivor.

Aggressive Charge (Ex): A Shark Ogre can move at quadruple speed when charging and gain a +6 bonus to attack instead of a +2.

Devour (Ex): A Shark Ogre does not swallow whole, instead if it catches a foe with the Improved Grab ability of its bite, it proceeds to chew the captured creature. It may attempt to pin the grappled creature as a swift action, if it succeeds, it no longer counts as grappled for as long as the creature is pinned. The pinned creature takes the Shark Ogre's bite attack automatically. If a creature is slain by devour the shark giant may swallow its remains as a free action.

Jaw of the Deep (Ex): A Shark Ogre's bite attack is incredibly powerful, allowing it to add twice it Strength modifier to damage and having a 19-20/x3 critical threat.

Swift Bite (Ex): After a standard action or full-attack action made with it greatsword (or other manufactured weapon), a shark ogre may make a single bite attack at a -5 penalty as a swift action.
