The bandit will face justice after you shock him out of his position.
When you cast this spell you make a ranged touch attack or a touch attack at your choosing. On a successful hit you deal 1d4 points of electricity damage/level (maximum 8d4 at 8th level) and they must make a Fortitude save or be stunned for 1 round. On a natural 20, they are stunned and knocked prone, or simply knocked prone on a successful save.
You can choose to deal nonlethal damage with this spell if you wish.
