The art of silkweaving magic is an ancient secret, only taught to a select few. However its power is awe inspiring, if seemingly small in scope. A silkweaver witch can channel her magical energy through her clothes, miscellaneous fabric or even magically created threads. It is said that silkweaving witches are elusive, but easily recognized by the colorful and luxurious garments.

Becoming a Silkweaver Witch

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the silkweaver witch.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a silkweaver witch, you must decide which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Elegance (Ex): A silkweaver witch is particularly at ease in the nicest clothes. She gains a +2 circumstance bonus to all Charisma-based skill checks while wearing non-magical clothes with a value of 150 GP or more. This bonus becomes +4 if she wears magical clothes in the body slot, overlapping with the previous bonus.

Threadweave: A silkweaver witch is capable of magically manipulating clothes by channeling her energy through it. The silkweaver witch must be wearing clothes in order to use her threadweaves. She can use each threadweave ability at-will unless noted otherwise. The DC for a threadweave ability is 10 + 1/2 the silkweaver's witch HDs + the silkweaver witch's spellcasting key ability modifier.

Magical Strings (Su): A silkweaver witch can use both of her hands to manipulate strings of enhanced clothes. She can use those threads to manipulate (but not wield) objects as far as 15-feet away from her with the same dexterity as her hand. A silkweaver witch’s magical string can take the form of sharp threads, scarves or many other forms. A silkweaver witch can conjure her magical string as a move action and dismiss then as a free action.

She can attack with her magical string, as if it was manufactured weapon with 15-ft reach, dealing 2d4 slashing damage. She uses her spellcasting key ability score instead of her Strength for attack and damage roll and she uses her caster level as her base attack bonus (maximum equal to her character level) when attacking with her magical strings. If she hit a creature with her magical strings she may deal no damage, if she does she leave the struck creature entangled for 1 round. Magical string count as fabric weapon for the purpose of the Fabric Channeler feat.

Silk Weave (Su): A silkweaver witch can use minor creation at-will but can only create items made of fabric, silk or other threads. This bypass the normal limitation of minor creation.

Entrapping Wires (Su): A silkweaver witch of 3rd level is able to project threads to entrap her opponents. As a standard action she can designate a number of 5-ft cube equal to her class level, those squares are covered in a tangy mess of wires. This behave as per the web spell. This effect lasts for 1 round per class level before the threads fall into useless taters. The silkweaver witch may only have a single issuance of this ability in existence at any one time, if she uses it again any active previous instance immediately fall into tatters.

Scarf Pull (Su): A silkweaver witch of 3rd level is able to use threads of her own clothes to pull herself around the battlefield, or to bring a small object to herself. As a move action she can make a straight 60-ft line of threads in any direction, it must be anchored to a solid object or piece of terrain, and relocated to any square adjacent to that line. Alternatively she can bring any unattended object whose weight does not exceed her light load within 60-ft to her hand with a move action.

Unravel (Su): At 5th level, a silkweaver witch is able to unravel herself into a string. As a full-round action she may unravel herself, travelling up to 5-ft per character level as a string before reforming. During this movement, she ignore any effect which would restrict her movement as per freedom of movement. She can pass through any barrier with an opening through it which allows a string to pass. Once per day, when she is struck by an attack or spell she can unravel as an immediate action, ignoring all damage and effect as long as she can relocate outside the reach of the attack or the range of the spell.

Enhanced Garb (Su): A silkweaver witch of 2nd level is able to channel her magical energy through her clothes. When she wears magic clothes in her body slot she gains a +4 armor bonus to her AC. This bonus increases by +2 at 4th level.

Magical Elegance (Ex): A 5th level silkweaver witch is able to draw mystical energy from her elegant clothes. She adds +1 to the DC of any spell whose school matches the aura of magical clothes she wears in her body slot. By example a robe of bone would grant her a +1 bonus to necromancy, while a robe of scintillating color would grant it to illusion instead. A robe of the archmagi grant this bonus to all schools.
