Skin of the Construct, Variant [Psionic]
As you manifest your astral construct, you step into the forming ectoplasm and it pulls into your body, giving your whole body a silvery sheen.Prerequisites: Able to manifest the power astral construct, Boost Construct featBenefit: By expending your psionic focus, you can meld with your astral construct, becoming one with it. This does not count against your normal limit of constructs you can have crafted at one time. You may select a number of abilities from any menu normally available to the level at which you crafted the astral construct. You gain the bonus HP of a construct equal to the size of the construct manifested, which function identically to the bonus HP granted during a Barbarian's rage. These abilities and bonus HP last for as long as your astral construct power normally would. You may re-manifest astral construct before the power's duration expires in order to extend the duration of this effect (multiple castings overlap), but you receive no new abilities or HP, and cannot change your currently selected abilities.
Example: Psally, a 14th level psion uses astral construct to manifest a 7th level astral construct, and expends her psionic focus to meld with it. She gains 30 HP, the bonus for a large construct. Then she selects one Menu C ability, and trades her second Menu C ability granted by the Boost Construct feat to gain two abilities from Menu B, all lasting for 14 rounds (her manifester level).Normal: The astral construct power functions normally.Special: Feats and class features that modify the astral construct power also modify this ability, but only if they would function with a melded astral construct. For example, a 9th level Constructor may use her Enhanced Construction ability to craft multiple astral constructs at once, but she would only be able to meld with one of them. The same 9th level Constructor would also be unable to meld with her Utility Construct to gain the benefits of it's hour/level duration. The benefits of Ectopic Form feats still apply, but the melded psion retains his or her original size and shape.
