Smashing[edit]

Wait? You mean I was supposed to be hitting them with the bladed end?

Smashing weapons deal bludgeoning damage, as is implied, but it's not limited to blunt objects. A smashing weapon deals 1d6 extra bludgeoning damage, and you can choose to convert all your weapon damage into bludgeoning damage as a free action. Thus a smashing lance +1 deals 1d8 piercing and 1d6 bludgeoning, or 1d8+1d6 bludgeoning. They appear to be heavy and massive or (if lacking) make a distinctive THUMP noise when drawn.

Moderate transmutation; CL 7; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, polymorph; Price: +1.
