The battle sling is a military grade [[SRD:Sling|sling]], a simple an yet multipurpose tool for halfling warriors, few and far between as they may be. The battle sling can be used as a normal sling, but may also be wielded (with sling bullet loaded) as a makeshift [[SRD:Sap|sap]], dealing its battle sling damage as lethal or nonlethal damage at a -2 attack penalty.
In addition when unloaded, it can be snapped into the face of unsuspecting enemies as an attack action. This deals no damage but opponents take a -1 penalty to attack and AC for 1 round. The penalty stacks with itself, meaning that four successful snaps deals a -4 penalty for 1 round.
