The voulge presents the following quality:
Pierce. If you move at least 10 feet straight toward a creature and make an attack with this weapon, the attack deals 1d10 1d10x3 piercing damage on a hit instead of its usual slashing damage. Voulges have the potential to dismount cavalry: Even if the strike of the weapon didn't kill the rider, it could potentially lock into the different pieces of their armor and bring them down. When you make a successful slashing attack against mounted opponents, they must make a Strength saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + the wielder's Strength modifier + the wielder's proficiency bonus. On a failed save, the target is dismounted from their mount. the voulge does either piercing or slashing damage (player’s choice at time of attack). The voulge has reach. You can strike opponents 10 feet away with it, but you can’t use it against an adjacent foe.
