You scatter several glowing spheres of flame at your opponents. A few seconds later, the spheres detonate into columns of white hot death!

You generate and throw one flame sphere per four caster levels, each sphere dealing 4d6 fire damage (max 20d6 with five spheres at CL 20). Attacking with a flame sphere is a ranged touch attack, and the sphere continues in a line out to its range, with a -4 penalty to attack for each creature it successfully hits. However, you can cease its movement prematurely, for at the beginning of your next turn the sphere detonates into a column of flame dealing an additional 4d6 fire damage in a 5 ft wide 50 ft tall cylinder, and knocking creatures in it prone. A successful Reflex save halves the damage and negates prone. Typically one casts it and stops it in the square of the creature they just hit, so they are forced to move or take damage from the subsequent explosion.
