Help Wanted[edit]

I have fixed all of the entries that are easily fixable, and for more complex ones, I've marked them as Winter Cleaning. Thus, I think this can be removed. - MisterSinister 23:10, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

New Categories[edit]

I just had an idea... --Leziad (talk) 23:03, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Oh wait, I see we have property stuff going on. That will probably save me a lot of work! Let see if I can do something with that... --Leziad (talk) 23:08, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
Alright so what im trying to do is to make it possible for people to browse magic items by item slots, so if they need another pair of boots they don't have to slog through the wondrous item section. I appear to be possible with properties but I realize I know dick about using that. Anyone can provide some help? --Leziad (talk) 23:13, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
You could add a column to the table that showed the item slot and then make it sortable, but if you wanted to just show specific things you'd need a new table per each. - Tarkisflux Talk 18:43, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
That doable by copy-pasta right? --Leziad (talk) 21:29, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Honestly, making a sortable column to the table that sorted by slot would probably be sufficient on its own. There's still the whole wondrous item list, but you only need to worry about the items in the area you want. --Undead_Knave (talk) 21:45, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
That will do, I attempted to do so but it appear "bslot" is not an usable property on the table. I could make the Author name appear or it rating, but not which body slot it uses. --Leziad (talk) 22:38, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
The bslot parameter doesn't currently have an associated property I'm guessing. This could be resolved by going into the template and giving the parameter a property. No time for me now, gotta run. --Ganteka Future (talk) 22:52, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
The bslot parameter has been mapped to the Body Slot property. It may be a bit before the wiki goes through and updates the pages using the template though, so nothing's using it yet. Should do it automatically within a day though, and a manual refresh of the table should fill them in at that time. - Tarkisflux Talk 23:19, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Thank you Tarkis, *thumbs up* --Leziad (talk) 23:20, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Further Division[edit]

Would it be possible to have multiple table with the magic items slots? I think that would improve navigability further. Maybe also a way to organize price from lower to greater, currently only the first number of the price matter for organization, so an item worth 150,000 GP will appear before an item worth 200. --Leziad (talk) 16:01, 19 May 2019 (MDT)

I agree, division per body slots could be best. I thought the problem with prices was due to commas, but it seems that it does what Leziad said.
Also: many items have the description in the body slots section or lack the body slots entirely. I offer myself volunteer to fix it, if needed.
Also also: going by WotC definition items slot are: Head, Face, Throat, Shoulders, Body, Torso, Arms, Hands, Waist, Feet, Rings. Many items here are categorized with Cloak or Neck, which are clearly understandble but wrong, if we go with the standard definition. Unless I'm missing something. --The bluez in the dungeon (talk) 08:15, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
I did notice that yes, I really need to woman up and fix it. I'll try to do it next week. In the meantime, if you want to replace them yourself, feel free to do so. --Leziad (talk) 00:15, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
