Setup

I made this page by just copying and editing the 4E equipment page, but someone who's better at this than me needs to make templates for creating items, I'm looking up the process at the moment, but I don't exactly have a coding background, (and I suspect I don't have the authority to create one) so I'm not 100% sure where to start. Hell, I ended up accidentally creating 3 pages of blank items while trying to figure out what the templates would consist of - Lemiel14n3 8:26, 12/14/14 (UTC)

The best I can tell, the categories for items are:

Armor: Name, type (light, medium, heavy), cost, AC, strength (required to wear), Stealth disadvantage y/n, weight, and a description --

Weapon: Name, type (Simple/Martial), cost, damage, weight, properties, and a description

Adventuring Gear & tools: Name, cost, weight, and a description

Vehicles: name, cost, weight, speed and a description

Goods: name and value & a description

And magical items are all similar, just with more description, magical items also don't have an innate cost/value in 5e, just a rarity of common,uncommon, rare, legendary; so any column for "cost" can just be replaced with "rarity," and an additional "attunement" column would need to be added for magical items - Lemiel14n3 9:28, 12/14/14 (UTC)

I'm not familiar with 5e, but I did set up the 5e Artifacts page for some functional formatting which can probably be copied over once everything else gets organized better. --Ganteka Future (talk) 21:05, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
