Talk:Augmented Alchemy-CE (3.5e Feat)
[edit]
Using the rogue level 10 bonus feat trick, a friend of mine took the SRD Augmented Alchemy. We were level 13 to start and he had managed to somehow optimize his craft check to very high levels (I forget the details). With some clever salesmanship, he managed to sell enough flasks of super alchemical items to have about 30 high powered acid and 30 high powered alchemist's fire of his own. I think the potency was x10 or so. The DM was completely fine with all these transactions until he actually used them in combat. The DM had forgot that these thrown weapons were touch attacks that could be TWF/rapidshot and he roflstomped 2 encounters.
The end of the story is that the DM had to pull him aside and ask him to either tone down the character's strength or else face a slew of fire/acid immune monsters. --Aarnott 14:44, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
