What a weird item[edit]

I'm trying to put my finger on this and I'm having a hard time. The idea is neat definitely, and it's weird that the auto-aim arrow doesn't break, but sure. +10 is a bit hardcore, and part of why I'm having trouble figuring if that's a good price or not. Likewise the DC is somehow both awesome and terrible, with the saving throw to remove it basically being free to anyone who isn't an initiator or a quicken spell caster, and the DC varying wildly because it's tied to attack rolls.

It's the latter I think might be what's sticking in my craw. It's all over the place, and thus I can't tell if this is a good or bad price.

If the bonus was less, the Reflex save was stable, and maybe if it cost more of an action (move, or swift at least) I think I could have a better grasp on this item and its strength.

Oh, nitpicks: Having +10 to attack will automatically give +10 to critical confirm rolls (unless that was meant to stack). And... I think you mean "hardness", not solidity. Not that it will ever come up: simply don't shoot any iron golems and you'll be fine. Actually not even that (iron golems have DR, not hardness), just don't shoot animated objects made of steel or better. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 12:04, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

Minor edit[edit]

Thank you for your comments. I made some minor changes to the effect. However, the price seems justified, the object greatly facilitates the fight for archers. >> Neostar
