| You know I've run across this one a few times and always through it into "disappointing". Largely due to the lack of fluff. A wikipedia link? Really? Even then I didn't think much of it, I disliked it if anything.
Then I noticed infomation is missing. That's pretty bad... Then I noticed some is downright wrong. Huge animal, 30 ft square. That's not even right. Wait, Bite +20 (2d8+15). These numbers are off... For 6 HD it should have BAB 4. +4 BAB, +8 Str, -2 size=10 attack roll. And 2d8+15 damage... is that strength and a half? No that's 12... where is 3 of that damage coming from? This was a dislike. The outright errors drop it to oppose. |

| Wow, this really does offer nothing interesting or unique. Also, rather surprised at an animal having less HD than its CR, and for a CR of 7, you'd expect it to be able to at least, uh, survive in the wild or track down prey or something. This is like, a bare-bones start of a monster stat-block. The total lack of flavor text is also disappointing for a cool dinosaur. Have fun Power Attacking. Used against lower level characters as a "boss", the damage from a single attack (maybe around 24) might be a bit much, but it likely won't be around for more than a round anyways. Against higher characters... ugh, look, it's basically just a trap disguised as a dinosaur. Look elsewhere. |

| To start, this is incomplete, with some vital statistics missing. It also is devoid of just about any fluff text (it seems rather lazy to just link to Wikipedia, in my opinion). Perhaps most importantly, it's just a bad monster, with no ranged capabilities or movement forms necessary to handle a party with half a brain at equivalent levels. All in all, I am not impressed. |
