Given that 'beating the odds' would be a bunch of number boosters like true strike, the tag line for this domain might be better along the lines of "the domain for taking a risk (and hedging your bets)".

It's unclear whether the domain power applies to miss chances from spell effects, like entropic shield or blur, because the effect isn't variable in the traditional sense. The prismatic stuff is more obvious, because targets are struck with a different, and thus variable, effect each round. It it's supposed to more broadly apply, you may want to open up the power a bit and just say "you get to reroll spell effects other than damage, x, y, and z, selecting the result you prefer" or whatever.

What are shadow conjuration and shades doing here? Just around so that you can use your domain power on them? I'm not seeing the thematic link there. Mass insanity doesn't even have that going for it though. - Tarkisflux Talk 07:57, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

The idea was that every spell here is affected by the domain power. Mass insanity forces them to roll to decide their actions for the round, which is supposed to be influenced by the domain power. Ditto with Shadow Conjuration and Shades; they're mostly there because of interaction with the domain power rather than any legitimate thematic appropriateness. I think the domain could be improved here, so I would attribute its current status to laziness more than anything. - TG Cid (talk) 16:16, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
