Comparing to Psi Disintegrate[edit]

So I was thinking on the damage die and I figure it should be fine. The pros compared to disintegrate is area of effect, longer range (though disintegrate is long enough for most purposes), and save for half rather than save for partial. The cons are that you need a high ceiling, its delayed for 1d4 rounds (in which an enemy can move next to you and get you in the AoO), no wall of force busting or land clearing, and only half of it is difficult to resist damage, the other half is very easy to resist, and evasion applies. I figure it works out in the end.

One of the augments makes this an excellent screen-clearing method, but is only good against mooks, as the damage drops to 1d6 per level. And of course, the delay issue. It's really meant as a surprise opening salvo if anything. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 09:30, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
