Despite my initial thoughts of "zomg this must be so abusable wat," after playtesting the race, I'm happy to report it functions satisfactorily in a rogue-level game, and is hella fun to RP.

Flavor: Kinda reminds me of Bynars. They were a cool idea and this race is a fun idea too. A bit more elaboration on how they resolve having two alignments could be possible. It obviously means each part of the pair has its own goals, experiences, and motivations, but to what degree that is should be explored.

The whole thing about both requiring an action also needs to be elaborated on, flavor-wise. I want to know what the non-acting person is doing. Psychic concentration maybe? One consequence you might not have thought of is that if one of them gets captured, neither of them can do anything unless they have some way of knowing when to provide support.

Mechanics: Whatever broken hijinks a player might come up with is well mitigated by the action requirements and racial HD. I'd probably make a zone controller with this race: double the area coverage!

Another thing you may not of thought of is that one of them can take an action that will allow the other to provoke AoOs. Push effects and the like. I'm cool with that though because it would be a nifty trick.

Dvati

This looks awfully similar, mechanically, aside from the notable improvement in succinctness. Why? --Foxwarrior (talk) 16:05, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Its the same twin idea, but with different mechanics and fluff. Mostly because I suddenly wanted to see if I could tighten the Dvati and put it somewhere (to us at least) somewhat more easy to find than the relatively obscure Dvati. Significant differences are how they handle hp (pool vs 1/2 and a bit + 1/2 and a bit), minor differences in the double-action thing, and radical differences in fluff (not-very-human geth things with double souls because, vs mutant magic babies of otherwise normal people).

Reclaim the Wild[edit]

Say, would you mind if I ported this idea into a Legend of Zelda based tabletop game known as Reclaim the Wild, or is not even that allowed? Don't worry, I'll credit you for the initial idea.

(I would post the link, but this system hates link-posting, apparently.) --HB Forged (talk) 14:21, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

What do you mean? What is it? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 01:04, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
I would like to show you the link at reclaimthewild (dot) com, but said link was blocked by this wiki. --HB Forged (talk) 03:25, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
Ah. I meant more your intent, but I think I get it. Tis freely given, so go ahead and use it for whatever you intend. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 03:28, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll be sure to credit you when it's finished and, if you want, give you a private link. --HB Forged (talk) 03:50, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
