Talk:Expand Spell (3.5e Feat)

D&D Multiplication is Laaame[edit]
Would 500-ft-radius alarm, 384-ft burning hands, or 228-ft-radius fireball really be so overpowered as level 9 spells? --Foxwarrior (talk) 04:00, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- I'm unsure about your numbers. What's the problem/math going on here? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 04:10, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- If applying Expand Spell twice gave the spell 2.25 times the area instead of 2 times the area, and so on, it would clearly be cooler. --Foxwarrior (talk) 04:45, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- These numbers could be yours today, at no extra cost. --Foxwarrior (talk) 06:39, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
Exception[edit]
Your example of using this multiple times violates normal rules. Time to add a special clause, or do you think that's sufficiently covered by the variable cost (which should probably be made more clear in that case)? - Tarkisflux Talk 08:05, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- I copied some text off Heighten Spell, did the edit mess up its meaning? What needs to be altered?
