Ranged touch attacks when tied to BAB should not be so cheap, especially when you can get a second one and twf with them.

Let's see, 8000gp cost for 2d6 damage on a ranged touch attack. It is a more expensive firearm that deals less damage, I see no problem with that. Please explain to me how this is diffrent from any other firearm aside from costing much more. --Furhammer (talk)

Are we talking about PF guns? In that case, let me enumerate the ways...
  1. They are equivalent to pistols in that they can be used to TWF, yet do more damage.
  2. They are not limited to making ranged touch attacks at very short range (40' instead of 20').
  3. The biggest thing is that they have no chance of misfiring. This is by far the biggest downside of a gun, and this suffers no misfire chance whatsoever.
In short, I would compare this more to a short-range brilliant energy longbow, with higher damage in recompense for the short range, rather than to a gun. --Ghostwheel (talk) 14:59, 6 May 2017 (MDT)
That's better, work on giving a critique on something and how to fix it instead of just what is wrong with it. Its cost is still far more than enough for its ability, even if it can be twf. --Furhammer (talk)
We'll agree to disagree, then ;-) --Ghostwheel (talk) 15:08, 6 May 2017 (MDT)
Just for reference, a pistol that has no misfire chance is priced at 73.3k. And another reason that came to mind--this requires no special training or investment in a specific class to be used. --Ghostwheel (talk) 15:16, 6 May 2017 (MDT)
made some edits, from phone so it is ip, also still need a better name than that. --Furhammer (talk)
