Jedi Apprenticeship

I figured that a Jedi would be teaching, at maximum, 30 people at a time about the force. But according to this thing, he rolls with over a hundred at times... isn't that an awful lot? It sounds like it would be a big drain on time for a hero. --128.208.152.191 02:59, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

By movie canon, a Jedi Knight should be teaching exactly one padawan. Even the prequel movies about the golden age of the Jedi only seemed to imply a few hundred total. It would make much more sense for them to have a cohort. --Foxwarrior 04:18, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Flight[edit]

If they were playing in the Star Wars setting, the Jedi could obtain a flying vehicle/creature or ten pretty easily. --Foxwarrior 04:18, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, but many of those same vehicles are huge. When it comes to vehicles, you got two scales- outside and inside. Outside is what most people think about when they hear of vehicular combat- airship armada warfare, snub fighters dog fighting just ouside a deadly firing solution, that kind of stuff. Inside is the most relevant and where this ability comes in when dealing with the small scale heroics D&D and d20 focuses on, where the vehicle is little more than a personal dungeon that you paid for.--Change=Chaos. There are a variety of personal aircars and winged beasties in the Star Wars universe that are small enough to be used in the "inside" scale. --Foxwarrior 05:45, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Rating response[edit]

The reason that the Jedi class is only 10 levels long is simple - beyond that level, you're not playing a Jedi anymore. Like as I do to think of them as awesome and whatnot, they can't compete in superhero-land, which is what 11+ DnD essentially becomes. - MisterSinister (talk) 02:09, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
