AoO[edit]

As a Standard action maneuver, this is very standard indeed, dealing a standard amount of damage with a standard amount of extra rider effect.

As an attack of opportunity, however, this is a lot of damage. There are very few other attack of opportunity maneuvers, so the opportunity cost (teehee) of this maneuver when used as an AoO is only the cost of not learning/readying a different maneuver instead. That's a significantly smaller cost than the standard, so the bonus damage should be smaller when used that way as well. --Foxwarrior (talk) 22:33, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

The bonus damage is meant to help make the Concentration DC even bigger. Like, "there's no way anyone will roll that high" big. --Luigifan18 (talk) 02:33, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
You're multiplying by five. If it didn't have any bonus damage, the DC would still be 50 or a hundred. --Foxwarrior (talk) 02:48, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
And with the bonus damage... :D Yeah. There's no way a spell's getting cast when this gets launched. --Luigifan18 (talk) 03:05, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
My point is that the DC is arbitrarily large with or without the bonus damage, so you don't need to have the full 8d6 on an AoO. --Foxwarrior (talk) 03:07, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
