While I can see the BAB, I really don't like giving IL and effective fighter level equal to character level. Increased IL, for example, is one of the biggest reasons why you take at least 14 levels of a initiator class. This kinda breaks that and doesn't feel right to me.

Am I reading it wrong? It sounds like I can use my not-BAB gained from this feat to use Power Attack with no loss in BAB so long as my real BAB isn't a full progression. - Aeturo (talk) 20:40, 16 February 2017 (MST)

It means that first you qualify for Power Attack's BAB +1 pre-req, even if you have +0. Then it means you can decrease your attack as if you had full BAB. So say a level 10 wizard, BAB +5 right? He can go, "-10 to attack, +20 to damage" like the BAB +10 Fighter. Of course, he's now at -5, but that's his problem. Maybe he's True Striking or something. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 21:52, 16 February 2017 (MST)
Well that makes much more sense than what I thought. Thanks for the clarification - Aeturo (talk) 22:29, 16 February 2017 (MST)

Interaction[edit]

How does the high version interact with War Hulk? --Ghostwheel (talk) 13:23, 17 February 2017 (MST)

It would be fairly optimal, but I don't think too bad since the no BAB with Str increase is an even trade. You end up with being better than normal damage-wise but the same attack bonus wise. Probably a fair trade for a feat slot.
Also surprised by your rating. The part you object to is the IL scaling? You scale 1/2 anyways, and full on PrCs. It's pretty easy to have a high IL by accident. Nevermind the low feat that grants this as a solo benefit. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 22:15, 17 February 2017 (MST)
Both the IL and fighter scaling. I think that fighters *should* have feats worth taking levels in fighter in, and that this blows that concept apart. Beyond that, most characters have to take their first IL level at 9 to capitalize on level 3 maneuvers. This brings it online 4 levels earlier, which is considerable in actual games, including E6 and the like. Regardless, it doesn't really sit right with me, y'know? It feels wrong for some reason. --Ghostwheel (talk) 06:16, 18 February 2017 (MST)
