Army of One[edit]

Shouldn't the Army of One Discipline be included in the allowed maneuvers? Would add a few provoking abilitys. --Franken Kesey 23:48, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

No, because it's homebrew. You may like 'brew in your 'brew so can stick it to the man while you stick it to the man, but it is my preference to treat my brew as though it exists in a vacuum, barring certain things with design intent to the contrary. -- Jota 03:15, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Would it be unbalancing to trade out a discipline this prestige class gives for Army of One, and if so, which one(s)? I'm curious now, since your reasoning is currently based on a value preference and not on the rules alone. If it can be used, a note on the prestige class would lend to more people using it who use the Army of One discipline, overall leading to an improved outlook on the quality of your work. --Havvy 04:40, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
It's not really that important, but you forgot to put the class' proficiencies. Just saying. -HarrowedMind (talk) 21:46, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
Havvy, I clearly missed your comment way back when. I was looking at the Army of One discipline a little while ago for a new project, but I didn't really do a cohesive balance check. The primary issue I have against granting access to homebrew maneuvers on a discipline-wide basis is that doing so constitutes an approval of each and every single maneuver contained within. Until I've read and confirmed every single maneuver, I don't really want to do that. I will make an effort to read it and answer your question in the coming weeks, as I know the discipline itself is somewhat popular and it is thematically appropriate for the meat shield.
HarrowedMind, I think I ignored that because you weren't intended to gain any new proficiencies, but I will double check my notes and add it back in for redundancy's sake. -- Jota (talk) 01:39, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
