I have many questions, such as "does it relate to paladins like the name/code suggest", wondering about the flavor (which is good, what I can gleen), and stuff.

But man. Infinite spells per day at will. Stuff like Heal at will. Man, I know it's VH but that's just nuts.

I'm looking for the at-will spells, and I'm not seeing it... --DanielDraco (talk) 16:38, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Here, it is hidden in the spell text: "Unlike a normal prepared caster, when the paladette casts a spell, the spell is still ready to be cast again." It hard to see since we kind of assume it always the copy-pasted bit of text. --Leziad (talk) 16:53, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Oof, that's bad style. Deviations from the boilerplate really should be emphasized.
To the point, I like at-will casting, very much — it is easily the most elegant way to avoid the 15 minute workday — but you have to be judicious about which spells are appropriate for unlimited use. Heal probably isn't, because it makes HP completely irrelevant as a means of defeat unless the foe is doing well over 150 DPR on average. --DanielDraco (talk) 19:10, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Agreed, that spell list has plenty of powerful spells and even at least one save or die (plane shift). --Leziad (talk) 19:25, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Well, I'd argue that save or dies are the type of spell that's pretty much the least affected by being at-will, since you're only going to cast them once or twice per combat either way. With those, really the variety of different save or dies you have handy at the same time is probably a better measure of offensive power, as each SoD has its own tactical and immunity-based targeting limitations. --Foxwarrior (talk) 03:16, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Special Pet[edit]

So, at 5th level, the paladette gets a special pet. I hope you like the hero shrew that came out 3 years after this class was written, because that may be the only available option for a chaotic good magical beast or outsider with the CR requirement (let alone even the size requirement as well) and is also homebrew. Considering the SRD has all of 15 chaotic good creatures, 8 of which meet the creature type requirements, and the earliest availability being a unicorn or pegasus at 6th level... if your size is Huge. If you're only Large, you can get a bralani at 9th level. If you're Medium or smaller, sorry, nothing in the SRD for you. Perhaps an overhaul would be in order. --Ganteka Future (talk) 00:04, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Perhaps so, although there's also Mythic Beast, and any other race that can be a chaotic good magical beast or outsider. Maybe loosening it to require only either Chaotic or Good would still be an improvement; it would be pretty funny for a paragon of all that is good and free in the world to be going around with a demon I guess, and that might be a positive. --Foxwarrior (talk) 03:16, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
