Like that NES game?[edit]

I remember there being a Silver Surfer game being developed by LJN wherein the Silver Surfer dies from one touch from anything. You touch the ceiling, you die. You touch the wall, you die. You touch the floor, you die. Too far to the left, you die. Too far to the right, you die. Die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, DIE!

Addendum: LJN didn't develop the game, but that isn't saying much; it's still Nintendo Hard.

It is indeed based on that joke. The power cosmic is the SS's actual power, which make him one of the strongest character in Marvel (in the heyday anyway, these days power creep turned everything upside down). Still the serious side of the flaw is the idea that a mortal attempted to gain incredible cosmic power and was just left as fragile as porcelain as a result, all for a simple bonus feat. --Leziad (talk) 14:15, 10 September 2017 (MDT)
Would it be alright if one DM wanted to make this either a 2-feat flaw or even a "3rd flaw"? BTW, in my games, I might allow for a "3rd flaw" if said flaw is extra steep. HB Forged (talk) 10:27, 11 September 2017 (MDT)
Sure, I don't see why not personally. --Leziad (talk) 10:46, 11 September 2017 (MDT)
Make one of the feats Diehard, and this is more Trait than Flaw. Which is perfectly fine, since saying you attained the Power Cosmic can make for some fun times. Especially if the DM rolls with it plot-wise, and it comes up again if you gain any sort of godhood. -SecondDeath777 00:09, 7 November 2017
One of the wiki versions of Diehard? HB Forged (talk) 19:52, 8 November 2017 (MST)
To my knowledge, it keeps you conscious through the negatives. Failing that, grab Autohypnosis and the Axiom of Determinancy stance, and you're still on your feet no matter how deep the shit you're in is. Until you hit negative whatever your hp should be, you're golden. -SecondDeath777 22:42, 8 November 2017
Well a single disintegrate and it over. So it a very dangerous trade off. --Leziad (talk) 21:53, 8 November 2017 (MST)
True. But still, depending on how you spin it, this is kinda like The Lost from Binding of Issac. If you build it right, this trades durability in the conventional sense for a bunch of things that typically cost health instead being cost-free. Painzerker, Blood Frenzied, Pain Tolerance Training, etc. Throw on some levels in Survivor, other fun stuffs, and you're good. Best part is Death Effects don't outright kill anything. They set its HP to -10. This doesn't kill the Tarrasque, because it needs to be at -30, give or take a Wish. So, as long as you are supposed to have over 10 hp, Death Effects can end up healing you. Leave it to the Power Cosmic to fuck up the rules. I totally wanna make this build now. -SecondDeath777 00:30, 9 November 2017
??? (The Blue Baby), I assume? HB Forged (talk) 20:37, 26 December 2017 (MST)
