- Honestly, given that (as stated above) marriage is a contract, why not have more general contract rings (amulets, bracelets, whatever) that don't take up an item slot that just let you know when a contract has been breached? - Because it's flavor, and not terribly useful for adventurers who need to keep their ring slots at a premium. Mostly one of those things you think clerics would actually make for others to use, like a magical coffeepot or toothpaste that is useful against half-fiend plaque.
