A pretty sweet way to turn someone permanently into your minion.

"Shard of your Personality"[edit]

What does the personality shard actually do? The spell says it can observe the target's senses, but it doesn't specify whether or not the caster can access that information, or if the shard is able to take any actions of its own. Is the intent that the "shard" is able to apply the suggestion effect independently of the caster? --172.70.127.4 01:28, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

The intent is that the shard is autonomous, but acting on your behalf. It observes and reacts as you would, but no information is transferred. Trying to think of a good way to reword this. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 13:50, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
The intent is pretty clear to me: what may require a check is the following: " At any time you can whisper to the target using their own inner voice, or use insidious suggestion at will (using this spell's DC)." Maybe you intended the shard instead of the caster? Or does the caster controls the shard, making it so that there's no external difference regarding who controls what (the player controls caster as well as the shard)? Or is the DM that should control the shard "using your mindset, mental ability scores, and knowledge at the time of casting."?
Minor correction: "However this process is very obvious that the target is not themselves" should say "during this process, right? --The bluez in the dungeon (talk) 14:06, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
