Uck. Balance-wise, the spell is impossible to tell, simply because enforcing a spell like this even with very experienced and mature players seems difficult.

Flavor-wise, I absolutely hate plot-changers like this. The whole "he suddenly became evil" thing almost always comes off as lame. Case in point: Anakin Skywalker.

With the right DM that doesn't use this spell in a stupid way, it might be fun. In most cases, this spell is one of those fantasy tropes that I wish would disappear.

So you don't like the Helm of Opposite Alignment then. --Foxwarrior (talk) 17:58, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

No, that helm can f*** off. --Qwertyu63 (talk) 00:17, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

I should also officalize my opposition to these spells besides the LG version. And here it is.

Same as celestial epiphany

As with Celestial Epiphany, a 4th level spell shouldn't be able to do this. (No spell should be able to in my opinion, but details)

Like the idea of permanently changing an individuals alignment. Dislike the level, and alignment restriction of this spell. Better as one spell at a higher level. This spell could be easily abuse at such a low level.

Comments[edit]

It appears as though one could boil-down the four related spells into one (perhaps for a higher level). --Franken Kesey (talk) 13:29, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

I'd like to point out that this 4th-level spell literally does twice as much as Morality undone, a 5th-level spell from actual WotC books. Care to explain why you thought that was at all balanced? 24.212.238.12 23:44, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
This spell and many other homebrewed ones were made on the premise that a WotC sourcebook shouldn't be treated as word of God as far as spell balance is concerned. To illustrate their judgment, polar ray has the power of a 1st or 2nd level spell yet according to the SRD is an 8th level spell. Cuz that makes sense. - TG Cid (talk) 23:17, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
