| What Fox said, mostly. I also don't like the idea of high-level Final Fantasy stuff being considered off the legible D&D power scale - it shouldn't be hard to place "extremely big AoE damage thing with unique damage qualities" as a level 8 spell or even lower. |

| The price is absurdly high, and the effect is quite unremarkable.
Epic spells are sometimes pretty fun, in a "look how I can break this haphazardly designed system" sort of way, and sometimes fun in a "look how extreme I can make a spell" sort of way, but this is just a big fireball with an unreachable cost. |
