Odd[edit]

So far things seem solid, but it has such a weird name. Unelven Drider. Why don't they have a name of their own, seeing as they really aren't drider. Not just because they aren't drow, it's because they're apparently diminutive. That seems to be the biggest difference.

I dunno. "Unelven Drider". It's like calling a human a "Unhairy Ape". It's... really weird. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 00:30, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

They're actually Prinnytale's idea, and in the webcomic he writes, White Dark Life, he simply refers to them as driders. Now, they can't be called that on this wiki, since there's already something that goes by the name of "drider", so I had to modify the name somewhat. It's like the Purifying Sanctuary spell I created; that's actually supposed to be the Sanctuary spell from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, but D&D already has a spell named Sanctuary, so I had to change the name to avoid confusion. Back to this page, I'm well aware that "Unelven Drider" is indeed a weird and clunky name, but it's the best I could come up with; it keeps the name "Drider" while emphasizing that they are, in fact, not former drow. --Luigifan18 (talk) 02:05, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Why not something that sounds similar to the term drider, or something which effectively means drider. I dunno, like... "Dryders", "Spinners" (referring to spidery traits), "Jiathuli" (referring to drider-related stuff here), "Micro Drider" or you could call them something regional specific like "Faerunian Drider". -- Eiji-kun (talk) 02:10, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
