Not Intelligent?[edit]

In the Legend of Zelda, Zoras have the higher technology of the races (leaving out the Terminian Humans). How could they be less intelligent? Just look at their plumbing - hear that, plumbing - in Majora's Mask for Christ's sake! Examples of Zora smarts;

  • plumbing, which is modern (Pretty much any one)
  • hookshot, which is futuristic (Ocarina of Time, N64)
  • A lot more that I'm too lazy to put on
  • More that I don't know about

Technology and Intelligence are not the same thing. There might, or might not , be some correlation between them in the real world. I am pretty sure Legend of Zelda is not set in the real world. --Ideasmith 03:35, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
The skills I associate most with technology - Craft, Knowledge, Use Magic Device, Disable Device, and Spellcraft - are predominantly Intelligence-based. Of course Technology and Intelligence are not the same thing, because Intelligence is the primary tool with which creatures develop new technologies, not a synonym for it. --Foxwarrior 03:41, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Since Zora aren't penalized in the Intelligence score, the author must be using some other sense of the world 'intelligent'. That would make any relationship between Intelligence scores and technology irrelevant. --Ideasmith 04:10, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
